The Coptic Hope Charity is an initiative of the community of the Coptic Orthodox Church lead by His Grace Bishop Suriel, Head of the Diocese of Melbourne and Affiliated Regions.
We believe that all people are created in the image of God and are loved equally by Him.
We believe all people have a right to the basic necessities of life, such as clean water, food and shelter, as well as opportunities to grow and develop as dignified members of healthy and happy communities.
Coptic Hope Charity aims to enable access to life essentials to the poor and marginalised.
Following in the footsteps of our beloved father and Patron Saint, Anba Abraam, the charity supports and develops underprivileged communities around the world, especially in Egypt.
We will improve the conditions of their communities through the provision of:
- Monetary support to families in need through direct sponsorship
- Support and funds for the development of medical services and facilities
- Housing provision for the homeless and improving substandard living conditions
- Disaster relief funds
- Education support
- Marriage expenses support
- Emergency financial assistance
We are a not-for-profit Coptic Orthodox Christian organisation formed by a group of volunteers to follow in the footsteps of our beloved father and Patron Saint Anba Abraam – a great Coptic Saint well known for his immense generosity and selfless giving.
